Here at the Spencer County Recycling Center we do our best to do our part in saving our landfills. As we grow we can increase our center. We try to accept as many items as our buyers will allow but here is a list of do and don'ts for you.

The Spencer County Recycling Center we can currently accept:
Cardboard, Plastic (1-7 only) (plastic wrap OF ANY KIND is a NO), News Papers, and Magazines, Tin, Aluminum in the trailers on the front side of the center. Please separate and put in the appropriate place that is labeled for that material.
Scrap Metal, Electronics and Household Appliances must be taken to the back side of the center,
Motor Oil ONLY 5 QUART SIZE PER HOUSEHOLD and Cooking Oil can be left at the big door in the front of the center.
Please enjoy our trailers at the locations in the community if they aren't mark for a item bring them to the center to keep from filling up with unnecessary items. They are mark for appropriate items but still adhere to the rules of what is on the trailers. If the trailers are abused we will have to remove them. We don't want to involuntarily make the fire department not be able to make runs that may save the life of someone. Do not leave stuff in the Parking lot of these locations. To make your experience fast and easy we ask that you pre-separate all item that you are delivering.

Glass, Styrofoam, Fluorescent Lights, or Household Garbage of any type.
We also do not take Tires.
